Ms. Stefanie

Ms. Stefanie obtained her Master of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education from New York University and has certifications in both of these educational fields. With over nine years of experience working with children from ages one through five, she’s equipped to help young children thrive in their educational environment. She’s worked as a classroom teacher, an early childhood special needs consultant to schools and teachers, and a small group instructor for special needs children. Besides her educational experience, she also has a Bachelor of Science degree from New York University School of Business and has worked as an accountant for more than seven years. Though she is still licensed as a Certified Public Accountant, she felt drawn toward the teaching field due to her enthusiasm for teaching, her love for young children, and her desire to see students succeed in their futures. One of the most rewarding aspects of teaching young children is the many opportunities that arise to tap into their natural curiosity about the world around them. As an educator, Ms. Stefanie strives to challenge her students while finding ways to channel their unique interests in order to inspire in them a love of learning that will last for a lifetime.

Ms. Nancy

Ms. Nancy obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY-Buffalo and her Masters in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from CUNY – Hunter.  She has over 10 years of experience working with children in different capacities.  She started in a position as an assistant teacher and an after school tutor, and worked her way up to become the lead teacher and the education director of a preschool in Brooklyn, NY.  Through her experiences, she realized teaching and being in the classroom is her passion and so she was ready to get out of the office and back into the classroom to do what she loves most – teaching and inspiring young children.  Ms. Nancy enjoys connecting with her family roots and has studied aboard in Beijing and has become fluent in different dialects of Chinese.

Ms. Christie

Ms. Christie began her assistant teaching career by working one-on-one with children who were in need of early intervention services. Her areas of expertise would include participation in these early interventions, as well as working with children who have special needs. She is working towards her bachelor degree, and is pursuing Special Education teaching certification. She makes it her goal to provide a challenging and inspiring mental, physical, and spiritual environment for the children that have been entrusted to her care. She believes that through the educational team’s commitment to providing students with both solid academic instruction and creative play activities, together they can help each child to fulfill their potential and find enjoyment in their educational experience.

Ms. Franchesca

Ms. Franchesca Gebara has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She has over nine years of experience working with young children. Her educational career began with an Assistant Teaching position in Long Island City, which eventually led to a position as head teacher at a reputable preschool in Astoria, NY. Her main experience in the educational field has involved working with children ages three to six years old who have developmental and/or special needs. As a dedicated educator, she is passionate about both seeing children learn and helping them to develop a thirst for learning. Her goal is to inspire each of her students to have a positive outlook on life and on their educational opportunities.

Ms. Jaclyn

Ms. Jaclyn graduated with her Bachelors of Science for Business Management from Brooklyn College. Throughout her high school and college years she has been working with young children, which has inspired her to continue on with her Master’s in Early Childhood Education this year 2017. Ms. Jaclyn’s has helped to run a camp for young girls and has been a teacher for parent-child classes at The Little Gym. She has been our pre-k after school teacher at the Purple Crayon for a year and she continues to enjoy watching the children grow and develop in their own special way. One of Jaclyn’s major goals is to be a positive role model in children’s lives.

Ms. Kary

Ms. Kary is currently serving as both an Assistant Teacher and Chinese Teacher. She has extensive experience working with children ages two to 11 years old for over ten years. She immigrated to the United States from GuangZhou, China, at the age of 15. She started out her educational career as a Chinese Teacher’s Assistant at P.S. 184M. Her next position was as a teacher’s assistant at a preschool in New York. Kary is fluent in both the Mandarin and Cantonese languages, and can read and write in both traditional and simplified Chinese. Though this dedicated educator enjoys working with all her students, she is especially excited to be able to work with students who have recently immigrated to the United States. Due to her unique life experiences, Ms. Kary has much to offer these students as they enter their first United States classroom experience. She is honored to have the privilege of helping them as they transition to understanding a new language and culture. Her goal is to nurture an enthusiasm for learning in all her students.
